DFS IT is undergoing a significant transformation to modernize ways of working, move to cloud, deploy modular tech architectures/platforms, drive automation, digitize employee and customer experiences and deliver insights from DFS’ data.


As part of the Global CTO leadership team, the Enterprise Architect Lead would lead our team of architects (cloud, integration, data & applications) and govern our enterprise architecture strategy in DFS. This role provides a unique combination of functional and technical product expertise and architecture experience across all enterprise systems (digital/eCommerce, POS, supply chain, merchandising, SAP, HR, finance, Integration, data platform, etc.), to design and build software solutions to meet the business needs of DFS. The Enterprise Architect Lead will work closely with stakeholders across the DFS Business as well as partner with technology product teams to understand business and system requirements and provide a critical link between the functional and technical delivery team to ensure a complete and cohesive solution. Additionally, the Enterprise Architect lead will have the responsibility of building up the CTO organization in China, defining China enterprise architecture strategy in view of rest of world landscape, and deliver modern infrastructure and modular architecture to fuel DFS business growth and expansion in China.

  • Manage team of architects (cloud, integration, data, and solutions), developing architecture standards, principles and guidelines for the enterprise
  • Establish the Next-Gen Technology architecture for DFS 2.0, establishing (in partnership with product teams and business priorities) a roadmap to get from as-is to to-be state for enterprise applications.
  • Understanding the business strategy & vision and translating them into enterprise wide technology vision & strategy in alignment with strategic priorities for growth, customer experience, efficiency etc.
  • Assess the impact of the business strategy on the architecture landscape, including organization, information and infrastructure and applications
  • Establish strong business and technology partnership and relationships
  • Governing enterprise-wide portfolio of systems / platforms as part of “Architecture Review Board’ and function as guardian of the strategy and architecture to make sure that new initiatives comply with the set guidelines
  • Partner closely with LVMH Group on the architecture standards and framework
  • Provides technical leadership and establishing the direction & governance framework for global IT enterprise architecture, standards, design, and implementation
  • Translate business requirements, including application resiliency requirements, into pragmatic, scalable and fit for purpose application architectural specifications
  • Evaluate and recommend the use of cloud native technologies and methods, considering their practicality, technical limitations, and criticality
  • Create, evaluate, and implement high-level plans and design proposals for IT solutions and ensure performance tuning and scalability
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and digital trends in retail industry
  • Team and budget management in terms of strategy, roadmap, performance reviews and developments






Key Requirements


  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • Minimum of 12 years experiences in IT strategy, architecture, and infrastructure, with at least 5 years' experience in managing and building up team.
  • Enterprise Architecture certifications (e.g .TOGAF)
  • Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices and patterns (SoA, Microservices, etc), hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments/roadmaps.
  • Experience with China ecosystems and enterprise architecture
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture Review Board & Governance, enterprise technology buying and evaluation process
  • Experience in building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global cloud-based systems (AliCloud, Azure)
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing digital technology solutions around E-commerce, CRM, Marketing, Retail POS, Supply chain, ERP (SAP S4 HANA), HR, Finance
  • Experience with industry and security standards including China PIPL and Europe GDPR
  • Experience with Agile delivery and DevOps processes
