We are currently searching for an experienced retail leader to join our Beauty team as the Category Manager (Product Sales Manager) for our stores located at Los Angeles International Airport. This is an full-time, salary exempt position. The pay range is $80,000 - $103,000 annually.
The Role:
We are seeking an outgoing and assertive individual as our Categroy Manager (Product Sales Manager) who will be the primary conduit between the corporate merchant team and our customers. You will have the autonomy to manage, mentor, and develop a cross-functional sales team. You will own your category of business at store level to ensure all promotions, product training, and floor presentations are in place effectively, executing what needs to happen to drive sales today as well as for future growth.
Drive Sales
- Manage your sales floor to ensure a high energy, positive floor experience for staff and customers
- Align customer experience with company vision of exceptional service.
- Drive sales, focusing on conversion, spend per transaction, and units per sale.
- Manage sales floor, ensuring positive customer and staff experience.
People Development
- Review sales performance and provide regular feedback.
- Create positive work environment and manage staff development, retention, and satisfaction.
- Lead, coach, and train team members, focusing on sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Participate in recruitment and selection of your Team Leaders and sales staff as required
Product Management
- Be the primary communication link between product merchants and internal stakeholders; prepare and participate in vendor and merchant calls
- Maintain and enhance local brand relationships, while upholding confidentiality in sales and performance related information
- Maintain high level of product and brand knowledge within the team.
- Manage brand relationships and ensure floor presentation meets standards.
- Participate in merchandise strategy development and execution.
- Manage presentation stock levels.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business or related field
- 2+ years of retail store management experience; beauty or luxury retail leadership experience
- Proven leadership skills, including team management and development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Business/financial acumen and high integrity a must.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365; comfortability with Excel and Powerpoint
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work weekends/extended hours as needed.
