Business Analyst

Finance Business Analyst

Work directly with the Finance/FP&A Manager to support the business by providing decision/data analysis of business initiatives and performance, maximize revenue and store profitability through the development and implementation of concise, relevant analysis and reporting to drive value-added decision making.

I)Management reporting

  • Support on daily/month end sales reporting, sales forecasting and trend analysis (nationality pax/sales, ticket spend, conversion etc)
  • Analyze sales, KPI and profit results to identify business trends and opportunities; quantify the effects of business changes, initiatives, and events; conduct frequent trend analysis.
  • Analysis gross margins of product assortments and promotional activities
  • Provide sales and profitability analysis on promotions and marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics/IT teams to create, streamline and automate analytic dashboards/reports to support business objectives, daily operations and needs as they develop
  • Utilize historical data and research on factors affecting sales to forecast sales trends to improve short- and long-term planning
  • Participate in annual budget, quarterly forecast and Strategic plan exercises

Educational Requirements: University graduate in Finance, Accounting or other business-related disciplines

Work Experience Minimum 3 years of experience (5 years for role of Senior Finance Analyst) in accounting and business reporting and analysis experience in a retail environment

Critical knowledge & skills including tools, software applications, language, etc:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; knowledge in SAP, Power BI and MicroStrategy would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, able to analyze a business both statistically and conceptually.
  • Ability to format analytical works into presentation formats
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and manage multiple priorites
