Beauty Advisor, La Mer (LAX - Tom Bradley Midfield)

DFS promises to be the world traveler's preferred destination for luxurious shopping. We offer our customers a carefully curated selection of exceptional products from over 700 of the world's leading brands across multiple categories: fashion, beauty & fragrances, watches & jewelry and wines & spirits.  We are currently searching for an experienced and motivated Beauty Advisor to work Full-Time in our Los Angeles International Airport store in Tom Bradley International Terminal. *This is an hourly, non-exempt, union position. The pay range is $22.25-$24.50 per hour.

 

The role:
If you are passionate about the beauty industry and are not shy about sharing your beauty tips, you are what we look for as the Beauty Advisor, La Mer. Every customer you approach will see you as the face of our brand; you will be a critical link between the Product and the Customer. Whilst promoting world renowned brands, you will advise your customers on the perfect product for their unique skin type and recommend the latest cosmetics and fragrance to inspire and motivate.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Explain the features and benefits of our merchandise in addition to DFS’ service differentiators
  • Provide accurate product and shop promotion information to the customers
  • Sell to customer's needs and cross-sell other products and brands to exceed customer's expectations
  • Demonstrate product on clients’ skin/face e.g. color cosmetics and skincare applications
  • Close sale by thanking clients and building relationships to seek opportunities to grow sales in future
  • Return cash floats and all necessary documents to close registers and secure sales receipts
  • General housekeeping of assigned area, e.g. dusting, straightening and restocking of merchandise, while maintaining full client awareness at all times
  • Assist in merchandise inventories as applicable
  • Assist in proper handling of merchandise, e.g.  maintenance of visual merchandising, testers and brand guidelines

 

Candidate Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of retail experience; previous beauty, customer service, hospitality services, luxury brand experience preferred.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to participate in brand education seminars and demonstrate a strong knowledge of La Mer products.
  • Demonstrate a proven history of delivering outstanding client service.
  • Comfortable with delivering personalized service according to La Mer Luxury Service Guidelines, leveraging knowledge of the La Mer brand and the Service Ritual
  • Strong interest in maintaining a luxurious shopping environment; an inviting and clean counter/store, clean and filled tester and product displays and all visual merchandising executed according to brand merchandising standards.
  • Secondary language skills a plus
