Assistant Merchandiser, Partnership

What you'll be doing?

The Assistant Merchandiser, Partnership, is responsible for supporting the end-to-end merchandising process within our Merchant Partnership team. This role will provide exposure to category planning, replenishment and allocation and merchandising and is an excellent role to gain understanding and experience of Merchandising. Uniquely, the HK based role predominantly supports Japan and Laos.

 

Key Responsibilities


1.  Provide administrative support on orders :

  • Develop and maintain SKU records.
  • Generate and issue purchase orders to suppliers.

2.  Sales Analysis and Data Preparation:

  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports for management review.

3.  Merchandise Planning:

  • Assortment review.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet sales demands.
  • Coordinate with Japan partner, suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely replenishment.

4.  Coordinate Shipments:

  • Work closely with vendor shipping teams and internal warehouse teams to ensure smooth shipment processes.
  • Resolve any shipment-related issues promptly.

5.  Manage Open-To-Buy (OTB):

  • Monitor and manage the OTB budget to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Adjust OTB based on sales performance and market trends.

6. Promotion Planning : 

  • Liaise with vendors and partner to work out promotion plan to maximize sales potential.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities to boost sales.
  • Collaborate with Japan partner and vendors to develop promotional strategies.
  • Set and monitor sales targets to achieve business goals.

Ideal Candidate

•    College or university degree preferred 
•    Previous beauty merchandising experience preferred
•    English and Cantonese fluency, Japanese a plus
•    Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
•    Detail-oriented and analytical
•    Pro-active and positive can-do attitude  
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Excellent at problem solving and handling multiple priorities
•    Action oriented and resourceful
