Assistant Marketing Manager

Job Description

The Assistant Marketing Manager is a key member of the Marketing and management team. Responsibilities of the Assistant Marketing Manager include assistance with building the division plan to drive DFS Marketing objectives and support business priorities.

They assist with the creation of unique customer experiences and engage customers through all consumer and travel industry marketing network, ultimately to building DFS as a Luxury Travel Retail Destination.  They bring marketing strategies to live with world class standards. Ultimate owner of content, channels, and destination marketing calendar.  As these responsibilities are varied, the Assistant Marketing Manager is someone who enjoys multi-tasking and has very strong organization and communication skills.  

We are looking for someone who has work experience in Media planning and analysis, KOL/KOC partnership, in-store activation, promotions, analytics of marketing efforts, digital marketing, partnership development. 

Key Requirements

  • Solid background (5+ years) in consumer-focused marketing, preferably with retail background. 
  • BA in Marketing / Communication, Business or similar degree preferred
  • Ability to build strong relationships and partnerships with local business, travel, retail and media partners.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the luxury industry.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including exceptional multi tasking and prioritisation skills
  • Competent Microsoft Office skills
  • Proficiency with current social media. 
  • Drive and ability to deliver results in an effective and timely manner
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a local and global team
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Fluent English Communication Skills (Written and Verbal). Mandarin language desirable.
