The Assistant Buyer/ Planner is responsible for supporting the merchant/ planning teams in the development and execution of the category/planning strategy. This role supports the planning, development, and analysis of assortments/ promotion & pricing and in-store presentations and also assists the team in their daily business. In addition, the Assistant Buyer/ Planner plays an active part in improving the overall work flow of the category.
Merchandising
- Management of SKU create and assortment maintenance process
- Maintenance/tracking
- Follow up on execution
- Coordination with brand partners & other internal transversal partners
- Support in all pricing-related topics
- Creation of Price Changes
- Conduct relevant market research
- Analyze proposed price changes to ensure alignment with category strategy
- Follow-up on execution
- Support animation and marketing Initiatives
- Ensure operational flow
- Follow-up with brand partners
- Support in the analysis of relevant business needs to drive category strategy
Planning
- Management of Purchase Orders
- Maintenance/Tracking
- Coordination with brand partners & DFS logistic team
- Support in all pricing-related topics, particularly for our monthly promotional activities
- Creation of Price Changes & Promotions in system
- Follow-up on execution
- Support Revenue Management with Vendor Support agreements
- Creation

- Follow-up with brand partners
- Maintenance of relevant category reports
- Management of return logistics and other merchandising topics with brand partners
Requirement:
- College or university degree preferred
- Previous merchandising and/or planning experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent at problem solving and handling multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Action oriented and resourceful
