Assistant Analyst, Beauty Merchandising Operations

Job Description

The Assistant Analyst will report to and support the Senior Merchandiser of Animations to ensure Animation Excellence across all stores globally. The role is accountable for supporting the execution of the aligned global Beauty and Division strategies to deliver excellences for effective promotional/animation strategy and implementation so as to achieve best customer’s shopping experience in DFS. The Assistant Analyst will be focused on data analysis and process enhancement to drive innovation in Animation projects, with opportunity to participate in cross-functional process improvement/streamline transformation projects.


Data Analysis and Dashboard Enhancement

  • Conduct thorough analysis to extract meaningful insights to drive business.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain dashboards to visualize key performance indicators.
  • Implement improvements to existing dashboards based on user feedback and evolving business needs.


Animation Processes Innovation/Automation

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.
  • Collaborate with teams to streamline workflows and enhance Animation efficiency.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions.


Animation Execution Communications

  • Maintain data base of animation photos and results, identifying best practices across worldwide execution.
  • Prepare internal communication to global DFS office on animation success stories.


Animation Vendor Package Management

  • Sharing of vendor packages with relevant stakeholders upon animation confirmation.
  • Track and manage accuracy of Animation vendor packages.


Manage Vendor Agreements (VST) on Animation Incentives

  • Prepare VST for vendor signatures on animation investment for staff incentives.
  • Maintain and manage signed agreements for billing.

Key Requirements

  • Effective communication both oral and written
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent or an equivalent combination of education background, preferably in Data Science, Statistics or Computer Science. Open to application from Fresh Grads
  • Able to work calmly in high stress/tension environments
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
  • Open minded and curious, yet driven personality
  • Proven experience in data analysis
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with technological process tool/software and coding capability
  • Excellent presentation skills using PowerPoint, other platforms also welcome
