What you'll be doing?

The DFS Technology team is seeking a Data Analyst to join their Data & AI team – a global role, based in Hong Kong. In this role, the candidate will be tasked to collaborate with product owners and IT partners to drive the Analytics roadmap and support data-driven decision-making within DFS using cutting edge technology and industry best practices. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing and evaluating the effectiveness of DFS Pricing and Promotion strategies. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, business acumen, and a passion for the luxury retail sector.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:
•    Drive the full lifecycle of Data projects: from gathering business requirements and understanding the end-user needs, to establishing business value and implementing a fully automated BI solution. 
•    Design robust and scalable BI solutions to meet the data needs whilst establishing guidelines and best practices for teams utilizing the BI solution.
•    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and finance, to drive data-informed decisions.
•    Gather, clean, and maintain datasets from various sources to ensure data integrity.
•    Present findings and insights to business stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations.

 

Ideal Candidate

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
•    2 - 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the retail sector.
•    Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Micro-strategy, Tableau).
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
•    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven findings to non-technical audiences.
•    Familiarity with pricing strategies and promotional tactics in luxury retail is a plus.
