Job Description

The Vice President, Stores Finance is a strategic business partner to the Store Operations President, Region Presidents, MD’s & GM’s. This key Finance role will partner with the Store Operations by providing accurate forecasting, oversight, strategic advisory & business development support. This will be accomplished through close partnership with Operations and Finance; building trust, ownership & accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities: The Vice President, Operations Finance will cross functionally manage a global team, through Regional Finance Vice Presidents and/or Divisional / Corporate Finance Directors. Specific Responsibilities will include: Financial Planning & Analysis: Global Stores Network
• Sales Analysis: Forecasting agreed metrics & reporting w/ key stake holders; Budget, Strategic Plan, Quarterly forecast adjustments
• P&L Accountability; forecasting & reporting, delivering sales & profit objectives, provide business content & expenses guidelines
• Work with merchandising team to ID opportunities to improve GM/GP% & $’s
• Liaise with corporate finance to coordinate and deliver corporate finance agenda Business Analysis, Operations Support & Process Improvement:
• Sales & Operational performance analysis vs targets
• Inventory Control & Loss Prevention
• Staffing & Cost control initiatives
• Internal Audit, Control & Regulatory compliance
• Drive operational best practice sharing across the global store network Business Development :
• Drive expansion of the company footprint by supporting Business Development & Airport Bids
• Own appropriate due diligence & financial outlook
• Conduct analysis, as it relates to joint ventures & business opportunities Design / Construction & Facilities:
• Capex Management: Support Capital Spending approvals, forecasting & delivery
• Capex Spending & Cash Flow Forecasting
• Stores Procurement & Bid Management oversight
• Negotiation & relationship with Landlords regarding Corporate Facilities Talent Development:
• Own the Talent Development Strategy for all Store Operation’s Finance and participate in Global Finance Talent Development
• Develop appropriate training mechanisms to prepare all team members for future DFS growth
• Cross pollinate roles between Operations & Corporate

Key Requirements:
Requirements: - Minimum Degree in Finance - Experience as a financial business partner in a dynamic operating environment on a regional & global basis. The ideal candidate will have prior store operations experience in a significant financial / control position. This includes core competencies such as budgeting / operations analysis, business case analysis of capital expenditure, internal controls and strong planning skills - Fluency in English language - Awareness of luxury retail operations and the ability to work seamlessly across cultures and to manage multiple stakeholders - Strong track record of delivering results within short deadlines while balancing the longer terms sustainable business objectives - Comfortable in operating with a high level of flexibility with a ‘can do’ attitude - Strong interpersonal skills to establish new reporting lines and relationships with stakeholders - High adaptability & objectivity to balance differing perspectives
