Job Description

DFS New Zealand is looking for an experienced retail Manager to elevate the customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Service Capability Manager you will be responsible for :
•Supporting the store management team to bring to life the service behaviours predominantly through on-floor coaching;
•Elevating floor selling techniques and behaviours by developing solutions with local/global L&D and store leadership team;
•Mentoring and guiding frontline leaders on service coaching of staff through observations and providing feedback;
•Assisting with the delivery of an effective on-boarding program to support retention of new talent and encourage a smooth transition into the business;
•Implementing strategy and tools to address store needs;
•Assisting with classroom facilitation as required.

Key Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development and/or any business-related course;
•Minimum 5-year’s experience in Retail and/or Hospitality;
•Passion for service and ability to deliver results in an effective and timely manner;
•Familiarity of application of coaching strategies;
•Strong interpersonal skills with a special sensitivity to working in a multi-cultural environment;
•Ability to adapt quickly in a fast paced, high pressure environment;
•Flexibility to work outside of business hours as required;
•Self-starter who can work with limited supervision;
•Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
