Reporting to the Vice President Human Resources, Southeast Asia, the Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for the people management practices to enhance organizational effectiveness, and to actively support the achievement of business objectives and growth of the DFS talent pool in Oceania. The Snr HR Manager role is to strengthen and grow the DFS development culture and internal talent pool through the implementation, delivery and support of development and succession planning related activities. Co-ordinate and administer approved Human Resources policies, practices and activities to ensure the availability and effective use of human resources at store level to support and achieve store business objectives. Execute and manage the compensation and benefits strategies, HR Administration, Employee engagement and legislative compliance. Support the business to drive our customer engagement focus and the delivery of results

Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnership
•Establish strong partnership with business clients/internal customers to remain aligned with current business issues and opportunities
•Actively assist in the communication, alignment and implementation of talent related initiatives across the Division, in support of DFS business goals and strategic objectives. Talent Acquisition
•Ensure the timely recruitment, selection and induction of employees, taking account of the operating environment, to meet agreed business needs.
•Make effective and quality recommendations in the recruitment or promotion of managers liaising where necessary with outside providers.
•Working closely with the Management team to identify, recognise, develop and retain individual talent within DFS.
•Establish strong partnerships with external industry partners to attract in the attraction of talent to DFS. Learning & Development
•Establish strong partnerships with internal customers to continuously remain aligned with current business issues and opportunities, as related to learning and development.
•Working closely with the L&D Manager to identify the training needs for the business, developing location programs and identifying any individual program needs
•Lead the communication, alignment and implementation of learning and development related initiatives across the Division, in support of DFS business goals and strategic objectives.
•Educate and support managers to implement effective development plans for their team members. Advice
•Advise management on human resource matters and implications of decision-making.
•Maintain awareness and knowledge of employment related legislation and appropriately communicates and advises on implications to the operation.
•Providing ongoing human resource advice to the management teams and employees. Employee Relations & Engagement
•Liaise with corporate on the annual employee pulse survey program and its communications.
•Ensure a variety of communication tools and mechanisms are in place to ensure a robust communication flow, sharing and employee feedback such as managers’ forum, store walks, focus group meetings.
•Lead employee recognition programs to reinforce company values and encourage a culture of empowerment and innovation.
•Provide support and education on performance management for line management
•Educate and support managers to implement effective development plans for their team members. Compensation, Benefits & Mobility
•Manage annual review of existing wage/compensation policies for their relevance and effectiveness.
•Partner with Global Compensation, Benefits & Mobility on job analysis and evaluation, including job family descriptions, job audits and analysis, job classification analysis and recommendations.
•Ensure salary proposals for new hires and conversions are based on market relevance and internal equity.
•Manage the annual budgeting exercise such as merit increases, performance incentives and commissions etc. Reporting, Systems & Procedures
•Construct, monitor and effectively manage the HR budget providing updates to VP HR SEA and appropriate senior management on key issues as required.
•Comply with all company policy and procedures.
•Actively support and comply with all health and safety policy, procedures and regulations.
•Produce all HR related paperwork in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
•Any other projects and activities as directed/supported by VP HR Southeast Asia (VP HR)/ Managing Director (MD) / General Managers (GM)

Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Management, Business or equivalent required
•Previous experience as HR Generalist or related business experience
•Minimum 5-7 years’ experience
•Worked in a multi-location organization
•Oversee headcount of + 300 and the ability to manage team
•Strong understanding of employment legislation/practices specifically in Australia and New Zealand an advantage
