Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a working relationship with Customs Service and Tax Office that protects DFS position and supports our standing as the number one duty free company in the industry.
• Develop and maintain systems to ensure efficient Customs compliance in the areas of imports, exports, write-off, stock shortages and damages.
• Perform specific compliance tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
• Integrate Customs clearance and delivery functions into the supply chain. Actively work with DC to resolve issues and problems effecting delivery, booking and distribution.
• To ensure the movement of merchandise into, around and from DFS is carried out in a timely manner with proper regard to the regulatory requirements placed on DFS as a Duty Free importer and retailer.
• To provide properly informed and reliable comment to DFS on Customs and Shipping related issues.
• To actively pursue opportunities to reduce shipping lead times and related costs.
• To maintain DFS relationships with Regulatory authorities and related business partners.
• Ensure company compliance with Cambodian laws and regulations.
•Effect earliest possible delivery of imports to DFS warehouse.
•Check, lodge and pay all Customs Entries.
•Ensure all shipping information is accurately maintained and is accessible to other departments.
•Maintain freight and clearance costs in Purchase Order (PO) Tracking and provide necessary reports to Finance, for the proper allocation of these costs, on a timely basis.
•Check and approve duty payments to Customs authorities for write-off and physical inventory in accordance with deadlines set by Customs.
•Prepare, lodge and liaise with customs on remission of duty and excise relating to damages.
•Manage Customs and other tax authority audits as required.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Management, Business or equivalent preferred - 3+years in retail environment required. Team leadership experience with operational and financial accountability / expense management experience highly desired. - Proficiency in MS Microsoft computer applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint,Access) and email is essential. - Able to effectively communicate and operate in a culturally diverse environment with astuteness and sensitivity. - Must have high degree of integrity and confidentiality with a keen sense of business/financial acumen - Able to work under stringent deadlines and high pressure and be able to prioritize a heavy workload with multiple deadlines.
•Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well with personnel at various levels. - Must be able to have a flexible schedule. - Good problem solving skills.
