Job Description

• Develop and set up partnerships with main and key actors related to tourism in Paris to promote the development of the clientele of individual foreign travelers in La Samaritaine.
• Ensuring that La Samaritaine is the preferred Parisian Department store of choice for all these partners and support them thanks to the development, coordination and implementation of marketing and promotional programs and activities.
• Identify new business partnership opportunities and develop strategies to grow La Samaritaine.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & business development
• Represent DFS & La Samaritaine with tourism partners to increase and strengthen La Samaritaine brand awareness
• Prospect La Samaritaine international clientele in Paris by Identifying all local business partners linked to tourism activity in Paris (hotel, airb&b, bateaux mouches, monuments, museums, entertainment… )
• Identify other business partners such as credit cards, conciergeries, loyalty programs that would be interested by giving a new services to their own customers .
• Define a strategy for B2B prospecting & developing loyalty amongst the Samaritaine foreign customers
• Develop an approach that clearly segments the market and is in line with DFS’s objectives & targets
• Negotiate the terms of agreements & build the partnerships in detail with all business partners
• Pilot all levels of profitability
• Permanently research new business opportunities and research key decision makers within operators, organizations and companies
• Research the evolution and developments of international tourists flows & travel habits Business monitoring
• Develop and maintain business relationships with main tourism partners, conducting regular briefings and meetings, monitoring needs and requirements
• Ensure that all accounts assigned are effectively serviced with a view to support and develop future business opportunities
• Monitor individual reward programs to encourage host manager performance
• Work closely with the TIM director on offer ideas and initiatives regarding tourism expectations
• Manage monthly and yearly sales analysis (visit, sales conversion…) linked to partnerships
• Follow up activities / business reportings
• Elaborate corrective actions plans Marketing & Communication
• Build and set up marketing and promotional tools and activities for tourism partners
• Coordinate implementation of marketing and promotional actions.
• In collaboration with the marketing team, develop & manage communication supports destined to main tourism partners Customer experience
• Work closely with team in charge of customer experience to define and build personalized experiences to provide to partners for their clients Events coordination
• Set up planning of DFS representation at B2B exhibitions.
• Invite new business partners to visit La Samaritaine via shopping tours
• Management
• Manage coordinator in charge of hotel partnerships
• federate the DME and Store team on partnerships to provide the best in class experience to customers

Key Requirements:

• Work experience in Tourism and/or Partnerships. Ideally a knowledge of department stores activity
• Fluency in English
• Perfect understanding and knowledge of tourism business and structures in Paris
• Sales & business competencies: prospection, negotiation, good knowledge of marketing practices and concepts
• Business development culture & strong business / commercial acumen
• Proficient in MS computer applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) required
