Job Description

The Operations and Controls Specialist will provide administrative, financial and accounting support in the Store Operations Department. The Operations and Control Specialist will provide support in the areas of accounts payable, compliance reporting to applicable government regulatory agencies, financial and accounting reporting, special projects, report generation, document retention and management and customer and general office support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all accounts payable related tasks such as creating and maintaining vendor files
• Reviews all invoices for compliance with DFS payment policies
• Prepares all invoices for payments in a timely manner
• Process payments of all invoices
• Reconciles Vendor Statements of Account
• Responds to all Shared Service Center Inquiries in a timely manner
• Issue, report and replenish gift certificates, electronic gift cards and complimentary coupons
• Reconciles all gift certificate transactions
• Renews all governmental regulatory licenses and ensures licenses are kept current
• Ensures all locations comply with licensing requirements
• Reviews all VSTs and ensure vendors are timely invoiced and reimbursement received based on VST Agreements
• Assists departments in special projects
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager

Key Requirements:
Educational Requirements Formal education in accounting theories with college degree desirable Work Experience Two or more years of accounting or finance experience Licenses / Certifications N/A Critical knowledge & skills including tools, software applications, language, etc. Strong analytical, organizational and communications skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel Other Qualifications / Core Competencies *
