Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the Company’s products are classified in compliance with Multi-National Customs regulations, and other Government Agencies requirements. The incumbent will work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment is required in determining the appropriate Harmonised System (HS) code that applies to the respective DFS country of destination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor all new Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) created in system.
• Review SKU/Style details to determine appropriate HS code.
• Reach out to vendor when information in the system is not adequate to assign HS code to new products.
• Update and maintain regulatory database to ensure information is aligned across all systems (e.g. SAP, MCS, DMS etc).
• Review internal and vendor documentation to ensure compliance of the designated Country’s Customs regulations for correct submission of invoice/ valuation information, marking, classification etc.
• Work closely with DFS Global Shipping Teams to discuss and track requested changes to HS code previously assigned.
• Provide advice to DFS Global Shipping Teams on Customs requirement for Visual Merchandise.
• Respond and follow up on internal and external parties’ issues and queries.
• Prepare monthly KPI reports and ad hoc reports.
• Participate in reviewing work processes periodically to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
• Participate in process improvement projects and any other jobs assigned.
• Assist with internal and external audits when necessary.

Key Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in Logistics/ Supply Chain or equivalent or
• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/ Supply Chain or equivalent.
• 2-3 years relevant working experience in dealing with Global Regulatory requirements.
• Good knowledge in HS Code Classification is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and be computer savvy.
• SAP experience is an advantage.
• Able to execute accurate analysis and judgment of the SKU to determine the applicable HS code.
• Able to multi-task with strong organizational skills and attention to details and ability to prioritize deadlines.
• Positive and self-motivated, able to work independently and interactively with all levels of staff and management.
• Good written and communication skills.
