Job Description

DFS Australia is searching for an L&D Manager (Oceania) to work collaboratively with both HR and the business to identify learning needs and create sustainable learning methodologies. The role encompasses training coordination, design, delivery, consultation, performance management education and coaching and is responsible for ensuring alignment with business priorities, practices and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

•Serving as a certified master trainer and facilitator to identify and develop signature programs and events via multiple mediums;
•Managing, planning, delivering and supporting POS, customer service excellence, product knowledge and on-boarding training through in-class activities and on-floor observations;
•Identifying performance gaps and coaching opportunities in consultation with store and divisional leadership;
•Ensuring seamless Management Trainee and internship programs including development needs associated with their Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and talent map;
•Serving as a consultant for performance management activities including planning and execution of talent mapping, goal setting and individual development planning, conducting coaching and mentor training as needed.

Key Requirements:

•5+ years experience in organisations known for excellence in service, learning, HR and talent management and development;
•Experience in program management, instructional design and training management with relevant L&D technical experience in various mediums
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar preferred;
•Experience leading, motivating and managing team members, both remote and direct contact, to effectively deliver goals and objectives;
•Able to work to deadlines and be able to prioritise a heavy workload with multiple deadlines;
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work with complex issues and solve difficult problems
•Proficiency in MS Microsoft computer applications, email, training in video development or animation tools for user generated content;
•Fluency in English (written & oral), Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills.
