Job Description

Responsible for merchandising activities and performance analysis of specified product categories, with focus on gross margin, sales, inventory, assortment mix, sales mix and spending for wholesale business in Myanmar. Position is based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Development and Execution
• Drive and support wholesale business in Myanmar and category strategy
• Monitor productivity through reports and react to change strategy pro-actively
• Run competitive strategy, including assortments, promotions, pricing, seasonal conversion etc
• Manage floor space and productivity
• Follow through with distributors/planners on assigning brand profiles, model stocks and Presentation Stocks (PS)
• Maintain PS, planograms and visual presentation standards required by brand/class
• Maintain promotional execution
• Monitor progress of key item/key brands targets by location 2. Customer Service and Sales Management
• Meet or exceed customer service standards
• Help manage selling expense to budget and maintain appropriate staff levels
• Monitor and maintain housekeeping and stock-keeping standards
• Monitor distribution to store, communicate minimum PS, needs and changes to the Distributor and/or Planning Merchant as appropriate
• Assist in the training and coaching of staff on product knowledge
• Assist Divisional Merchandising Manager in completing stores expense budgets. 3. Productive Space/Inventory Management
• Monitor space productivity and communicate changes to operations, product/planning Merchants when necessary
• Monitor inventory productivity and communicate changes when necessary with planning merchant
• Assists in implementation of aged and discontinued sku action plans
• Effect markdowns as directed by Planning merchant 4. Communication Maintaining of frequent communication with : - each department of the respective category within the divisions - corporate planning and merchandising Team(s) - Operations team

Key Requirements:
* Degree, preferably in Merchandising or related • 5 years of working experience with an international luxury brand preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel • Understanding of merchandise flow and sales execution processes across multiple functions • Familiar with OTB, budgeting/Forecasting techniques, Assortment planning, Mix and Margin management
